Covid-19: Important Update
As of Monday 17th May, as part of the Government’s
roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions, we will be allowed to
open up and serve food and alcohol indoors. The rule of six
will apply allowing up to six people or two households to
sit together with social distancing rules remaining in
place.
We have been busy working to ensure we can increase our seating
capacity so we can welcome as many of you as possible and as
always, to ensure you still have the most enjoyable time at
the BCA, while making your health and safety our first
priority.
Our stringent cleaning and sanitising routines will continue as
before, as will our social distancing practices and
adherence to the rule of six.
In summary, the current rules and measures we are taking to
implement these rules, are as follows:
NHS Test and
Trace:
we continue to be legally obliged to take your contact
details every time you visit us, though now we have to take
EVERYONE’s details, not just those of the lead party member.
The Test and Trace app (NHS Covid-19) is the preferred means
for you to check in to the BCA enabling the NHS to collect
your data, so download the app and scan our unique QR code
every time you visit. We will continue to take your details
down on paper if the app doesn't work for you.
Sanitise:
on entering the pub, please use the hand sanitiser provided.
Table Service:
you will need to find a table and remember the rule of six.
Staff will be on hand to help you. All food and drink orders
must be placed from and served to a table. Staff will take
your order, or you can text your order to the bar on the
mobile number provided. Please remember to provide your
table number and payment method. Full instructions are on
every table.
Our beer boards are operational but for those who cannot see
them we recommend downloading the “Real Ale Finder” app
where you can find our live beer board. Our live beer board
can also be found
here.
Face
Coverings:
masks or other face coverings are compulsory when entering
the pub and when moving around the pub (unless you are
exempt from wearing them). This means when finding a table
or when visiting the loo, you'll need to cover up. When
seated and eating and drinking you can relax, mask free!
Capacity
Monitoring:
please note that entry to the pub will be on a first come
first served basis, and at times when pub numbers are at
capacity, queuing outside may be necessary.
Children:
well behaved children accompanied by an adult are allowed to
visit the BCA, though we ask that all children are off the
premises by 9.00 pm.
Parking:
please note our car park remains closed until further
notice.
